Themed "Smart and Digital Energy for Tomorrow," the International Digital Energy Expo 2024 (IDEE) was an overwhelming success in its second edition. With a total exhibit space of 50,000m2, it spotlighted new energy solutions and fostered global dialogues on the future of digital energy.
The Expo welcomed 412 exhibitors, showcasing innovative technologies and services in sectors of energy storage, electric power system, new energy, core components of energy storage, digitalization in energy, and energy support services. It hosted an international area representing such countries as Germany, Japan and Tanzania. Prominent exhibitors included China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) , China National Offshore Oil Corporation, China Resources Power, China Southern Power Grid, BYD, EVE, Huawei, Hitachi Energy, HiTHIUM, Sunwoda, Siemens Energy, Tencent and ZTE.
The Expo attracted 701,000 professionals looking for cutting edge solutions for the digital energy development. It provided a perfect platform to connect face-to-face with industry giants, SMEs and start-ups.
The Expo conference program united more than 3,000 energy leaders, entrepreneurs and experts from across the globe, all committed to advancing the future of digital energy industry. Key topics focused on high-quality digital energy development, high-quality digital transformation of energy, innovations in EV charging infrastructure , and low carbon industry.
Tech giants debuted their latest tech advances at the show. Huawei Digital Energy unveiled the Global Smart Microgrid Solution, which is touted as the world's first and largest intelligent photovoltaic solution to date. Tencent Cloud leverages its digital technology advantages to provide a "1+7+N" intelligent platform for the new energy industry chain. BYD launched a brand new micro grid system, encompassing battery energy storage , bi-directional conversion, digital management of energy, LV and HV power supply, smart security and protection technologies. China Southern Power Grid introduced “Big Watt”AI model system, focusing on power industry AGI and adopting an approach of “large model+AI platform+electricity scenario+agent” to empower the digitalization in the power industry.
As the host city of the Expo, Shenzhen ranks 2nd among the Hurun China New Energy Cities in 2024. It takes the lead in building a new energy system in China with its installed clean energy capacity accounting for over 80% of the total installed power generation capacity. Shenzhen’s energy consumption intensity and carbon emission intensity are at the lowest levels in China. Shenzhen unveiled "Digital Energy Pioneer City Construction Plan (2024-2030)" at the Expo.
The International Digital Energy Expo has played an active role in addressing climate change objectives and fostering economic opportunities.
