The International Digital Energy Expo 2024 is about to start. During the event, Eaton will display the heavyweight iRVACN environmentally friendly smart ring main unit ("iRVACN Smart Ring Main Unit") and the 72.5kV cable accessory solution for deep-sea and offshore applications ("72.5kV Cable Accessory Solution"), and the intelligent DC coupling micro-grid solution that enables PV power generation, energy storage, and charging ("Intelligent DC Coupling Micro-grid Solution")!

iRVACN Smart Ring Main Unit

The iRVACN environmentally friendly gas-insulated ring main unit is a fully sealed and insulated ring main unit. Equipped with advanced vacuum interruption technology, the unit meets the environmental protection requirements of being oil-free and SF6-free through design. The high-voltage energized circuits are sealed in a stainless steel gas container, which helps avoid condensation and external pollutants. The IP67 protection rating of the main box, together with Cooper waterproof touchable cable accessories, provides protection against occasional flooding in rain-prone areas. The new intelligent design featuring high-precision sensors enables multi-functional intelligent online monitoring.

72.5kV Cable Accessory Solution

The 72.5kV fully insulated, fully shielded, and detachable cable accessories are molded with imported high-quality EPDM rubber. Leveraging Eaton Cooper's over 70 years of experience in the R&D, manufacturing and operation of detachable cable accessories, this solution is specially developed for offshore wind power multi-scenario applications. Its excellent insulation margins and waterproof, mildew-resistant properties provide comprehensive electrical connections and protection for customers' power equipment.

The next-generation 72.5kV plugs and arresters equipped are up to the latest industry standards and feature an explosion-proof structure, compact size, and easy installation.

Intelligent DC Coupling Micro-grid Solution

The Intelligent DC Coupling Micro-grid Solution features integrated, low-loss, and cost-effective deployment. Its flexible design principles enable the integration of transformers/distribution systems/distributed energy/charging piles, reducing energy loss from the previous 15%+ to 5%, and cutting the installation and commissioning time and costs by 20%.

With a unified platform, the capacities of PV systems, energy storage, and charging piles can be flexibly adjusted and combined for conversion into any of the three forms.
